Where is my music after synching to upgraded iphone

    I have synched a new 4S to Itunes to pick up musics from old iphone (3 I think)

    All the music files are listed on the new iphone but are in grey and inaccessible - whereas a couple of new songs I have purchased since are in Black bold and can be played.

    Why can't I play the old library songs? Do I have to do something to make them available on the new device?
