    Hi all,

    Just a quick question

I have a fixed seatpost on my road bike.
I 'm max'd out with the spacers on the seatpost clamp.

I have a Selle Italia Flite Gel Flow Saddle at the minute BUT,
The height of the saddle is a bit low.

Can anyone suggest a saddle with a good height on it

(Buttom of rails to top of seat)

    picture.php?albumid=1998&pictureid=13661

    Height this way.......Road bike saddle

    Cheers

    Shane

Can you not get a longer seatpost? They are cheap compated to saddles.

    Hi Caroline_ie,

The bike I have is a Ridley Noah with a fixed seatpost.

I can't remove to fit a longer one.

    Thanks

Right I get you now ;) sorry

Have you tried to change the pedals?or shoes too? I know my new Bont shoes required me to move the saddle down a bit. Same for the pedals : some pedals will change require a lower saddle height (I reckon Speedplays do, but I am not sure).

    Would something like this help?

You could also move your saddle back and use a shorter stem. Or buy longer cranks.

That sound like a good idea because I don't fancy selling my frame.

    Thanks

What size frame is it, and what height are you? Do you have unusually long legs?

The frame is Meduim, but the seatpost was cut before I got it.

I think I have normal legs 33" inside leg

    This is the bike

This will sound patronising ... sorry. Are you sure you are not trying to over extend your legs?

We want a pic of you on the turbo!

    This will sound patronising

    Not at all

When I'm sitting on the bike with my leg out or the pedals,

If I straighten my leg when the crank is at 6 o'clock, and put my heal on the pedal I still have a slight bend on it.....

If I got another 10-15mm higher then my leg would be straight when heal is on the pedal.

    Does this make sense

Brooks make some fairly tall saddles (70mm and upwards) if you fancy wearing one in! Usually the 'S' versions are designed for 'ladies'...
