After having phimosis until my 30s, I had a circumcision. However, one problem is still retarded ejaculation during intercourse (masturbation is fine) and the inability to maintain erections. I'd been using viagra, but recently saw a specialist who said that it would be better to build up confidence by using prostaglandin for a period; basically, in my head I've associated erections with the pain of phimosis and have anxiety due to that.

However, this requires me to inject myself (yeah, _there_ :( and is also very expensive. I'm willing to try it but first wanted to see if anyone else had tried this short-term to build up confidence and if it worked?

I'm not trying to sidetrack the thread, i don't have an answer to your question. I am in the similar position but behind you, gonna get circumcision but fear that i'll still have the mental block and anxiety over sex. Have you considered seeing a dedicated sexual problem therapist? i have the number that my doctor referred me to i can pm

Thread on here before where I contributed my experiences for the OP there:

I found approaching things from a pyschological point of view was great, the book I mention is my post - Overcoming Sexual Problems worked out very well for me.
