Sound problems with streaming

    Just recently my computer has started to mess up when streaming. It starts off OK and might be fine for even half an hour or so and then the sound starts to become stuttered and garbled. I think the picture is OK but it's hard to tell!

    The only thing I can think of that I did recently was update Java. Apart from that, I've been streaming stuff daily for years and had no problems. My connection is quite fast and very consistent. It's an old laptop but I don't understand why it has spontaneously started to crap out on me! Anyone suggest what I could look at to resolve the issue?

    Dell Inspiron 6400 running Windows XP.

    I did a quick google on the prob and read this . Could be relevant as your computer is old and maybe the vents need a clean out .
