Italian Grand Prix advice

So my wonderful partner has by total accident booked a holiday in the Italian Lakes that coincides with Monza. Even I forgot the date until it clicked with me last night

The plan is to drive down at the crack of dawn for race day only as theres no way Id get away with spending 3 of 7 days at the track!

My question is, to those who have been before, do you actually get to see the race from any vantage points on a General Admission ticket or would I be well advised getting a couple of grandstand tickets, Parabolica etc??

    Any tips appreciated

I had general admission and went to the Lesmo corner (2011). Great view and atmosphere. TV across from us and snacks just behind where we were.

    to give you an idea.

Under general admission, I'd recommend getting there very early. Plenty of other races on the day, so you won't be bored. Only downside of that corner is that there's little to no shelter. Was blazing sunshine when I was there with a friend, so we took it in turns to head off for some shade.

i went in 1998 with general admission ticket & watched from the parabolica

i would agree you need to be early from memory a lot of the general admission areas with decent views were taken up by 8am, so get in place early as one person needs to guard your position all day

well worth going if you get the chance
