Ran my own business for past ten years but due to the pressure of sourcing work and getting paid for the work I've done I have decided to pack it in.

I have been offered a job with a starting salary of 31k/year.
How much should I expect to take home after tax per week?

no one can tell you the answer without more information - such as are you claiming married credits? is there any BIK? pension? union subs? amongst others.

Try this - you can then put in your own personal situation and get a guideline of what deductions will be made, without having to post too many details about yourself on the web!
