I got an hp pavilion g6 a couple of months ago, and today it won't turn on.

I was using it last night and it was fine. Tonight it won't turn on, and when the charger is connected, there is no light on the side.

Any help would be greatfull, but please bear in mind, I,m a silver surfer.

    Thank folks.

where did you buy it ?

was the notebook charged enough to start up without plugging the charger in, if it was you cancel out the charger being damaged.

    Any lights at all ?

I know that you mentioned that there is no power light on the side but having said that does AC adapter light blink ?

It still had power in it when I turned it off. But won't turn on now.

It might be worth a shot removing the battery and putting it back in. Disconnect the charger first.

Tried that no joy. Will try again and leave it out for a few mins.

I know that you said that the charger is connected when powering up the laptop but just check again if the power cord is connected correctly to the charger.
