I've been doing a bit of googling and can't seem to find any good sites with ideas for decorating kids' rooms. I can find some images alright, but they're often missing info about where to buy the paint, stickers, furniture etc. The ones that do give the info are often American sites. I had this problem when decorating my son's room too.

I'm planning on evicting the little woman in the next few weeks, so need to get cracking. I'm want to avoid a pink candyfloss hell. If anyone knows any good sites or even wants to post pictures of their kids' rooms, I could do with some inspiration!

If you've a facebook account get someone to invite you to pinterest. Heaps of inspiration! The stuff might not be exactly available here, but a lot of it is DIY/ generic bits. So many ideas for everything!

I was going to suggest pinterest too, it has some great and really inspiring ideas. It has brought out the craft-y side in me! :)

A cheap way of decorating us just to paint the walls plain and then use stickers. I got lovely Winnie the Pooh ones, I think in B&Q and they make such a difference to the room. There was enough stickers in the packs I got (can't rem if I bought one or two packs) to decorate one wall.

We have three walls in the room painted white and the wall the cot is on painted baby pink.

Thanks a million guys-lots of ideas there.

For my wee man's room, I painted one wall a fire engine red, got a green and blue based vehicles border around the middle of the walls, painted some shelves blue and picked up some primary colour stuff in Next. I kept the curtains plain, so I'll only have to change the quilt covers when he needs a change - hopefully, when he's 15:D

I'm looking to do something different with her room-maybe purples and greens, so keep the ideas coming. I love those Blik stickers Pwurple!

    Hi,

Google Walltastic who actually make Wallpaper Murals. there are plenty of suppliers around.

I have just recently put up a Dinosaur Mural for my 3 year old and they are amazing and he loves it.

Very effective and not too difficult to put up.

They come in 12 peices that are lined up/pasted on a wall 8' x 10'.

    Good luck with the decorating.
