Good mouse surface? Steelseries?

    Hi all,

I used to own an icemat. Until a friend managed to accidentally stood on it. To be honest I haven't done much gaming, or anything that's required more than a book or a headphone bag (hey don't rag on my headphone bag) as use of a mat.

Anyway in the middle of re-doing my studio and I wanted to get a decent mouse pad. I see Steelseries are now what Icemat was? I was looking on their site and I see they still do a glass pad - the 'Experience I-2'. Only thing is I can't find one to buy anywhere - not in black anyhow. I'd also settle for the Steelseries SX, which is just a metal version, also in black.. but I can't find that either.

Anyone know where I could pick these up online for a decent price? I did find one but it was an unsettling €70 price tag. I think they should be in and around €30-€40?

Also I'm open to any suggestions for another brand/pad that are similar. Basically I want a medium sized surface, that's plain black and preferably hard, smooth material like glass or metal.

    Cheers!
