    Can anyone tell me why I get the following message when trying to view the RTE Player:

    Application cant be loaded CL Error

    Their server is hammered with people logging into see Katie.
    Can't handle the load.

    RTE website crashed as well at around 14.00.

    Couldn't get anything on the RTE website in work (was fine half an hour earlier when hockey was on but nobody was watching..) but was able to get it on http://www.eurovisionsports.tv/london2012/index.html NB this is legit as Ireland is a Eurovision member. Will probably be blocked outside Europe.

    In Cavan there was a great fire / Judge McCarthy was sent to inquire / It would be a shame / If the nuns were to blame / So it had to be caused by a wire.

    Saw this link on the Olympic Megathread so will give it a go today and forget about RTE.

    Surely there is a way for RTE to know what their critical mass is for traffic on the player at any one time and can restrict it to this rather than allowing more than the critical mass which results in everyones player freezing.

    Maybe they do, someone here at work yesterday managed to stay connected and watched the whole match from the RTE 2 HD stream without interruptions, while the rest of us were either kicked out at the commercial before the match or couldn't connect in the first place.
    So maybe their critical mass is set to 1... :D

    Ha maybe thats it, actually I would go as far as to say it is definitely set to 1.
