Laptop problems

I have a HP Touchsmart tx2 laptop, running Windows 7 OS.
Recently I have received messages that the battery needs to be replaced, I have up to now ignored these thinking it would be ok once the charger is connected at all times:o. However, last week the laptop did not start up for me, when I turn it on all the lights come on and they stay on but thats it, the screen doesn't come on at all:mad:.

Does anybody know if this problem is related to the battery or if it is something else .

Pull out the battery, plug in the charger and power it on.... if it works then the battery may need ti be replaced.

I wouldn't say it's a battery problem, especially if you're getting lights. Sounds more like a screen problem. Where did you buy it? You should really contact them.

The lights you mentioned OP, they should blink if an error is detected during the start up
process.

Do the fans kick in also does it beep at all?
