Cleaning cement residue from Golden Oak uPVC

Hi all,

I've got golden oak windows/door, plastering is done outside and I've started cleaning up the windows and frames. What I've noticed is that it's rather difficult to clean the cement residue from the golden oak pvc frames due the to cement residue gathering in the slight grooves of the grain effect. It takes a lot of scrubbing and then letting the frames dry to see if I've actually cleaned the frames only to find the grey/white residue still there after several attempts of cleaning.

I was just wondering does anybody know of any good products/stuff for cleaning the frames? Something maybe that dissolves the cement but has no impact on the frames.

I have recently removed concrete from PVC windows and doors with a hand held steam cleaner.. doesn't damage at all and well worth buying as they have come down a lot in price.. don't use chemicals and are handy about the house.
A lot of the concrete came off handy enough but stubborn bits didn't take to much hassle to remove.. Good luck
