Looking for cool, stylish fixie - Tra-fix opinion

    Looking for something that's a bit of a head-turner - fixie used on the flat runs to work in Dublin - but needs to be durable too. I saw a white Tra-fix in a bike shop window in Harold's Cross, Dublin, and it looked very stylish (though I suspect it's single speed). My budget is about 250 EUR.

    Thoughts on the reliability? I haven't heard of this make before. Any alternatives, if no?

    Assuming you mean the coycote tra-fix (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Coyote-Tra-Fix-Fixed-Wheel-Bike/dp/B006VOW3J0) then it's a cheap bike from a manufacturer with a reputation for producing cheap crap. I'd stay away.

    250e is very cheap for a new bike, have a look at the second hand market at that price.

    Can I suggest a wander into On Track on Cook St (near Christchurch)? Their average bike seemed to be about €500 but they had plenty for less than that when I went in there on Saturday.

    Fitzcycles has some fancy looking Create fixies, but I think they are around €400 mark.
