Dublin Airport T2 to Green car-park

Apologies if this has a) been commented on before & b) If I have not submitted it in the right category - Mods, feel free to move wherever.

Went to Edinburgh for a weekend. Parked the car in the longterm green park departed via T1, and returned to T2, first time using T2 since it opened.

No quibbles over the weekend ( bar the damn exchange rate) .

BUT, to land in T2, and have to walk to T1 to get the bus back to the car park?? Why can't the bus drop people off in T2, pick up passengers, then go to T1, drop and pick up again, then head back to the car park?

They go and build this fantastic terminal out there, and still can't organise the transport from the car parks to the terminals and back correctly?

    I know... its insanity.

The DAA borrow hundreds of millions (our money btw) to build their stadium sized Celtic-Tiger cathedral yet cannot have their own busses stop outside it!

I wouldnt care if at the end of the day it wasn't our money they w*nked away on the whole project.

When you say the "Green" car park, is this QuickPark and not one of DAA's own long term car parks which I think are Red & Blue. If so, then I believe QuickPark does not belong to DAA. Even then, I do agree that they should stop at both terminals.

I use the DAA blue car park as it is cheaper (if booking for more than 2 days) at 4.95 per day as opposed to QuickParks 7 quid, and they do stop at both terminals.

The DAA busses for the Red carpark do drop at both terminals,
however they do not collect from T2, & they do not mention that anywhere.

You have to walk to the T1 stop behind the carpark.

I have no idea who owns the buses - I am referring to the ultra long concertina green ones.

The bus does stop at T2 but ONLY to drop off people flying out. I just cannot get my head around why they can't drop & pick at both T1 & T2. Surely they can park longer down in the carparks? Typical of everything thats wrong here, only half do the job!

T1 has a bus park where buses can stop, T2 doesn't. What's not to understand? The place where buses stop at T2 is a dropoff point for cabs.

Also, since the DAA don't own the buses they mightn't make all the choices.

Then why can the busses stop to drop off, yet not pick up? How hard is it to plan that a bus can drop and pick up at the same time?
