Single module repeat query

I am student in applied biology at WIT. I have been repeating modules that i failed when in second year of the course 2010/11, I spent last year attending to pass some of my failed modules and I'm intending to repeat the final exams of the last two in the coming repeats.
All I along I believed that i could repeat these and progress but just today I found out that one of them (lab data analysis) is C.A only and no repeat examination..
If this means attending another semester and so waiting another full year to progress to third year it simply won't be possible financially for me and so I will have to drop out.
My question is would it be possible to get around this some way, maybe by completing a relevant IT type test/course before september?

    Thanks for any help.

If it is CA work, you would have recieved the work from the college by post to compete or else you could have to attend the module throughout the year

Best advise to expand on what Shane said is to ask the lecturer to set you a new CA. Sometimes they don't so you need to chase it yourself.
