Does anyone know how to remove the bearings on top of the saucer? I can't take out the shaft on top of the mower going across the drum. So wondering how I can take out that shaft? Any help or expertise greatly appreciated.

Are you talking about the top of the shaft where the bevel gear is?? Because the saucer is at the bottom of the drum and the bearing stays inside the saucer when you take it off

    Check it carefully.

Those pz mowers had a habit of wearing the shaft instead of the bearing leading to a costly shaft rebuild or replacement.

You will see play in the bottom saucer if this is the case - you will be almost be able to shake it from side to side and it has the appearance of a bearing being worn.
