Fussball Table Repairs?

    Hi folks,

Apologies to mods in advance if this in in the wrong forum....:o

I have a really good fussball table in my garage that has sat there unused for about 6 years. It's a coin operated table that I bought in a charity auction where I was loaded, (as if!) drunk, feeling very silly and not thinking things through (it's too big for the house)....

Anyway, the coin mechanism is broken which leads me (eventually) to my question....it's probably a spring or something simple but does anyone have any idea where I could get this repaired? As well as a general polish up, restore to new overhaul?

    Any help appreciated!

wow, wouldnt have the foggiest idea of where to bring that. Might be a start to call up a few arcades and ask them where they get theirs repaired/maintained.

Home-DIY might be your next best bet if you can't find anyone here.

Best of luck though, would love to have a nice Fussball table :D

    Thanks folks,

Yeah, it is a beauty alright, shame to have it sitting unused for as long as I have let it. I really want to get it working again as I think it's a really cool thing to have as a man :D. It weighs a tonne and the glass on the top of it is seriously thick. I suspect the movers damaged the coin mechanism when we moved but I didn't notice at the time and it's way too late to go back to them.

Thanks for the replies thus far. Did try a few arcades etc. but basically got the run around or "haven't a clue" type answers. Tried pubs too with more or less the same response.

I'll try and get the exact make and model number later to see if that jars anyone's memory.

Thanks for the suggestion but Home-DIY and me are not compatible! I've broken or made things worse by trying to fix them in the past and this is too good to risk damaging.

Would it be worth calling up the likes of Bowling Alleys or Pool Halls ?
They have loads of Pool/Snooker tables, which I'd assume is the same kind of mechanism.

Else you could probably visit one, ask in person , they MUST have a contact for a maintenance company or something who keeps them in order for them, as it's essential to their business.

Best place to post about this is over in arcade and retro.

A lot of us have arcade cabs and play about with coin mechs all the time.

It really depends what the coin mech is like. Probably best to take a few photos. I just fixed the one in my Japanese candy cab and all it took was a match :D

I more familiar with the places in the UK that can provide hardware/repairs.. but I'm sure if you post in Arcade & Retro there will be plenty of folks who can point you in the right direction.
