Ok so I have done as much research as possible on google and cant find the answer.

I bought a VN707252 Korean Squire Strat back in and around the late 90's.

I was just wondering what the value of it is. Not necessarily going to sell it just curious more so. That said if its worth thousands ...:D , I know highly doubtful.

I did see a few things online to suggest that they may be quite rare.

Maybe not this particular model though.

Wonderful sounding guitar even now. Build wise they play more like a mexican strat than a squire.

    Anyway any help appreciated.

    Eoin

Just found a wiki article that says the:

    V = Saehan(Sunghan)

and the N = Ninties (ie the year in which it was made)

The serial number then, in my case 707252.

The first number of that is thee year. ie mine was made in 1997 in Korea by Vester. Interesting.

Still dont have any clue of its value but still.

    OK........

value is whatever someone else will pay on a given day in a given place.....

Korean are SEEN AS better than Indonesian, which is better again than Chinese.

but not as good as Japanese.

I've had (and sold) Korean, MIJ, and MIC Squier strats over tha last 5 years and at a rough guess......

    on a good day.......

    and in pristine condition?

    and on Ebay UK.....

    Korean Squier strat maybe £130

    MIJ £250 max

Indonesian, broken up and sold as parts £120.

    in one piece, £75 MAX

custom pups etc will make it more how YOU want it, but not necessarally how a buyer will want it.

I have a Coaster strat from Encore, 85 or so.

as new, it's worth about £30

it has the sweetest neck I've ever played, so I kept it and modded it a little......

it has a pait of Dimarzio PAF pros and a piezo bridge and all kinds of custom switching.

I've prolly spent £400 on it.

if I sold it I'd be lucky to get £100 AS IT IS

as PARTS I'd get maybe £300 back........

    cheers for that,

I thought it'd be around that alright.

As I say I wouldnt sell it unless it was a substantial sum to make it worth my while.

The reason I asked was I heard some of them were quite rare.

Anyway looks like I'll be holdin on to it so.

Its kinda nostalgic now as well to be honest so probably for the best I keep it. I'd probably miss it if I sold it.
