    Hi All,

I'm up in Drumcoura in a few week's time and may take the bike and cycle back.
Anyone from those parts that could offer advice on the more cycle friendly route via Trim or the old N3 (Navan).

    Thanks in advance

    Dom

I'd actually try to follow the N4. From Ballinamore head to Mohill, then Longford via Drumlish (Nice scenery). Have done this route a few times. From there you can follow the N4 all the way or keep to some of the parallel roads nearby. It's nearly the most direct route IMO.
You could also go from Drumlish to Granard and on to Castlepollard and head for Meath that way. It'll keep you off the main roads kind of between the N3 and N4.
What part of Wicklow are you going to?

Drumcoura to Carrigallen to Arva to Granard to Finea to Castlepollard to Delvin to Trim.

Quiet enough roads, yet good enough quality. Some fabulous scenery and plenty of places to stop for a bite to eat along that road if you need to.

Cake may be a deciding factor!
