Been lookin at buying a new frame, saw this obviously a good price but how reliable would it be? Anyone know if the seller is reliable or anything?

no real comparison but i did buy carbon bottle cages on ebay from china before (dont think the same supplier) and the turned out to be proper heaps of junk!

got burned a few to many times now from china, so wouldnt recomend anyone buy stuff from there unless you are willing to take a chance

I would not be the most trustful of the ebay frames but if your gonna go that route i would suggest going directly to the source. A few people on the forum have bought equipement from hongfu or dengfu bikes in china. They seem to have a lot of pretty satisfied customers. Pprenderville has a real beauty in his build thread on this forum.

I bought a no-name carbon fork from China recently and it's grand. I went into the sellers profile, clicked into a couple of people who had bought from them and sent them a message to ask what they thought of the stuff they bought. The were happy, so I went for it.

I'd tend to agree, bcmf has a beaut got directly from the manafacturer.
This particular one looks a bit too good to be true...

Cheers. Lookin at customs etc the frame would be coming in at about 470 euro. Would prob be better off looking at one of the ribble frames, or try snag a decent second hand one

My current alloy frame has internal brake and gear cabling; is it possible to get a carbon frame with that also?

That's just the frame. Another £100 for the fork and £20 for the headset plus the shipping will end around 550euro for the whole thing, which still is cheap enough for a decent light carbon frame.

Most of the Chinese frames do, and a lot of them are copies of proper brand names so shouldn't be a problem

    I think this

    CIMG1873.jpg

is one of the most beautiful chinese frames out there. It's called FM-028. And the other one I like is the FM-066.

You could get the Ribble pro evo for €385 inc fork delivered. No internal cable routing though. I recently went for the sportive bianco myself.

    That seatpost insertion angle looks....wrong.

It's a Thomson masterpiece with a weird setback, it's not the frame (if that's what you mean).

    @thehamo
I only saw the ebay link now as I couldnt open it on my fone earlier.
That is very similar to the frame I have but without the wavy rear forks and the paint.
The manufacturer's usually have an ebay alias and tend to switch names on a regular basis.
BTW I pm'ed you as well.
