Dash & Door Panelling in Focus

My daughter has a Focus Mk2, with a horrible hard black dashboard and door panelling. She cleaned it recently with one of those pads with foam on one side and and abrasive surface on the other. The dash and door panels are even uglier now - all scuffed.

Anyway of repairing this ? I don't want a shiny finish and I don't want to use those products which attempt to give a new car smell.

    Any ideas appreciated. Thanks

Ouch, a friends kid once did that to the exterior of his MR2. If it is scuffed/scratched no amount of scrubbing will fix it. Try a scrappy or Ford dealer if you want to replace it.
