    Hi all,

Been awhile since I've done an interview, so I'm looking to do a good bit of research before the date. Does anyone have any suggestions for sample questions that would normally be asked in an interview, specifically possible technical questions?

The area is Civil Engineering. Many thanks.

Really depends what the company do and what the role is. I am a Mech Engineer and I have got asked anything from how to use a multimeter to discussing how control systems and motors work, being asked how to implement particular systems. A bit more info on the role and you may get some good info here.

A lot (and I mean a lot) of companies are going down the competence based interview route.

Technical competences can be assessed based on a scenario ie give me an example of where you have had to solve a complex problem + (working with a team)+ (were there was conflict)+(under budget constraints)+(with a difficult client) etc etc

    Look at the job role.

Look at the key skills/competences required. Look up competency based questions and prepare based on that. The questions can be generic but the answers are the difference between you getting the job or not

That's how I prepare for all interviews.
