just enter in a search code for the area you're likely to collect from. It asks, so it can show you cars nearest the code you enter.

LL65 1DQ is the postcode for Holyhead port, use that and it'll tell you how far you have to drive back

Sign up for a Loc 8 code and use that.
It only takes a few minutes if you can use a computer and read a map.

This is an Irish postcode system. The OP has stated they are looking at cars in the Uk..........

@ronn, you can use any UK postcode to search autotrader (for example) but if you want to search in a particular area just google the town or city and you will find the postcode for the local council. Just use that.
If you want to find a postcode for any of the larger cities google the airports and use their postcode.

The OP gives his location as Wicklow and headlines his inquiry: Post code,Don't have one. ????

    Anyway, it's no big deal.
I made an error. Nobody died.

How do you know that ????

The OP may have just driven into the Irish Sea while his sat-nav was trying to decipher a Loc-8 code

I must be missing something here still?
A guy is looking to buy a car in England and he must have a postcode before he can make an inquiry?
In my day, when perusing the "Exchange and Mart", a bargain in Bristol was preferrable to a banger in Bridlington.
Obviously things have moved on since then.
