Just browsing Blinkbox, and see they have a few good films to stream for free on their sight, like Dumb and Dumber, Risky Business, The Iron Giant, The Mask, Seven, Blade, The Wedding Singer and a few more. Even some good obscure films like Macheads (Documentary on the cult of Apple) there for free too, and a few Batman and Superman films for the comic book fans (even a Captain America film from the 90s :D ) They've an App on the Xbox 360, but not sure if it's available in Ireland, or if the free films are on the App.

Just to note, I've nothing to do with Blinkbox. I've mentioned them a few times on the TV forum as they are one of the few online services available in Ireland but I'm not affiliated with them in any way.

    Yup, its owned by Tesco.

I'd never heard of it until this thread.

Their description of Risky Business is hilarious:

"Tom Cruise has sex with a hooker while he's still in high school".

Gay Sex in the 70s is a free movie there too.

Night of the Living Dead - "Best zombie movie made ever - EVER"

Mom Can I Keep Her - "500 pounds of furry fun"

    I'm getting the message
'We are currently upgrading our site, and will be back soon. '

    Is everyone getting this ? I assume it's not a geo-location error.

It's a valid question and also one which obviously has a big bearing on whether the thread stays open or not.

Anyone any recommendations for things to watch on there? Theres alot in the free section. I watched Modify a good documentary for anyone with any kind of interest in tattoos or piercing mainly but does focus on plastic surgery and body building a bit aswell bit on the graphic side in terms of surgical scenes if ya have a weak stomach some involving genitals (looking with one eye closed kinda thing :o).

It sure does but Ive heard its not worth the few punts plus I already pay for sky as it is, so why not take advantage of something thats offering free films, documentarys.

reading the website doesnt look like it does

"Can I watch free content from anywhere in the world?

No. Due to studio requirements some of our content is only accessible in the UK. If you are outside the UK you may not be able to watch some of our programmes."

    Yup, its owned by Tesco.

If browsing movies is anything like using the Tesco website, I'm not interested.

Sorry to bump an old thread. Just in relation to the disappearance of the freebies on Blinkbox, it seems they plan to launch a standalone website dedicated to the streaming of free films. Their website mentions it will launch in spring!
