Brogan has scored 3 goals. Who else has?

    N. Murphy ? You mean Nicholas Murphy ? Not a chance. He's doing a job for Cork, but he's not even their 5th best forward right now. Paudie Kissane, Donncha O' Connor and Aidan Walsh are certainties, if it were picked today and Kerrigan wouldn't be far off either.

By your reckoning so goals=all stars?

Peader Byrne has scored four and played much fewer games, should he get an All Star? Brogan did OK against a shockingly poor Louth team, did good against Meath and had two nightmares against Wexford and Laois. He's not deserving of an All Star at this moment.
If the All Stars were picked now, there would be more players from teams who have been knocked out who probably wouldn't have a chance come September. For Meath, the likes of Donal Keoghan and Brian Farrell would probably be there right now. Ross Munnelly and Ian Ryan would probably be up there too.

Frank McGlynn was picked by most as player of Ulster Championship and would be well in running for an All Star in defence..

As of now, Ian Ryan would definitely be in the running. Had a great individual year.

McFadden is a certainty, McHugh too, I would have Flynn from Dublin, he's been excellent. Barry Moran has proved me wrong in midfield, he's had some superb games. That Keoghan guy from Meath has been superb at corner-back. Cork would surely have a couple- Walsh anyway. Andy Moran has been a livewire as always.

I don't know what championship you've been watching but if the voting was done right now Andy Moran would be a lock to retain his All-Star. Sad that the injury has probably nixed that, he's been in player of the year contention these past two years.

Such is the level of under performance from Dublin i wouldn't have any of them in there, yet.

But we all know the semis and final have a much higher weighting when it comes to awarding these things so still it could all change.

Where do you pick McHugh in the team btw? Full back?;)

Very good, had a chuckle at that statement, right enough though, he was highlighted on sunday game and most of his good work was done in defence, maybe he should get 2 all stars, one as defender and 1 as a forward:p

    Cluxton
    Cadogan McGlynn
    Keegan Lacey Kissane
    Kavanagh Walsh
    Galvin??? McHugh
    McFadden Moran Ian Ryan

Struggling to think of players for a few places. Always hard to pick an all star team in August. Cluxton has kicked so many scores. Durcan?? is he in with a shout. He seems to be having a reasonable season but he is rarely tested with Donegal's defence. Plus he wasnt great for the goal yesterday.

McGlynn and Cadogan are certs for me. Have been excellent so far this year. Cant think of who to put in full back at the moment. Aidan O'Mahony had a good game yesterday put he struggled against Cork earlier this year. Cafferkey is an option possibly. Higgins from Mayo has been good too.

Keegan, Lacey and Kissane have been very good this year. So has Bolton but he might miss out as he was very quiet against us at the weekend. Goold did a great job on him. Nolan has done well this year but I am not sure if he is better than the other trio. Canty and O'Leary could be in with a chance as they year progresses.

Walsh and Kavanagh have been very good for me. Other possibilites are B Moran, D Bastick and A Maher.

McHugh is a certainty. Galvin has been very good this year. Is there any standout centre forward? Kerrigan, Goold, Munnelly, Dillon, Cillian O'Connor are in with a chance.

McFadden a certainty. Moran may miss out and Ian Ryan will surely be the same. Donnacha O'Connor will get an all star.

Would have Ciaran Mcdonald from tipp up for it anyway, had a very good season and was central to Tipp making it as far as they did.

Hard to pick specific players on each position so i think a county by county review is a good excercise.

Donegal: McFadden (current shoe in for player of the year so far),Karl Lacey,McHugh,Murphy

Mayo: Andy Moran, Ger Cafferkey,Alan Dillon

Cork: Aidan Walshe, Paul Kerrigan, Eoin Cadogan.

Dublin: Stephen Cluxton, Denis Bastick, Kevin Nolan

    Kerry: Colm Cooper

    Kildare: O Connor

    Meath: Keoghan

    Laois: Ross Munnelly

    Down: Benny Coulter, Poland

Paul Flynn and Michael Dara McCauley have dragged Dublin through in some of their poorer performances. Flynn in particular is having a savage year IMO, he's so, so good.

At the Moment, Flynn and McFadden in for Player of the Year currently, terrific seasons thus far.

Durkin is an absolute shoe in for goalie as well, dunno how you could begin to justify picking anyone ahead of him.
