Just looking for a bit of advice here guys...

So met this guy about a month ago and have been on 6 dates with him we are both mid twenties.

Thing is I cannot get this guy out of my head - things are going great, we text all the time and get on like a house on fire. I honestly feel like I know him months and months not weeks! I'm not really sure what advice I am asking for - I have been hurt in the past by guys I just got out of a LTR of 3 years back at the end of last year and was badly hurt and am afraid of this happening again (don't get me wrong I am completely over this guy) and I do know that not all guys are the same and wont all hurt you I just don't want to ever be that hurt again so I guess I want to keep my guard up.. I do realise that you cant live life thinking like that and I should be enjoying myself as I am young but after 6 dates with someone to feel so comfortable and at ease is scaring me a bit

    Hi OP

Theres a song from a band i have been listening to lately and one of their songs are kind of related to this subject. In one of the lines is says "its better to feel pain, than nothing at all"

From what i learned is that you need to take the risk, to love someone you need to trust them not to hurt you you give them it all. otherwise if you go into a relationship with your guard up your preparing yourself for the hit so to speak, you don't feel it. your only at the early stages yet in this relationship so who knows? if you have alot in common and are getting on very well go with it and see.

mind you not all girls are the same either but times its very hard to accept it even though its true, but with experience in relationships we learn this and i think if you learn something from a past relationship it prepares you and is worth while.

you feel comfortable with this guy so that's good!

    I think you are overthinking!

Basically, you are enjoying yourself. He is a nice fella, who you get on with and who you enjoy spending time with. It's all new, so at the moment it's exciting and you remember the last date, and look forward to the next.

It's all completely normal, and so long as you are both on the same wave length then why shouldn't you enjoy it?

Allow yourself to relax a bit and just enjoy it... And enjoy thinking about him all the time, and looking forward to talking to him etc...
