Attack of the Married People!!

Hi guys,

I was just wondering, well, in need of moral support from any single people out there ( if they exist ) !!:D
I'm approaching the big 30 !! As of this year, everybody I know, including my siblings have all either gotten married or begun having children.
I am single, a single mother to two gorgeous doggies I might add !!:D
I am the happiest person I know, However, after the constant ..
'So,is there someone special in your life yet' comments, to the 'Still Single eh,Dont worry, keep your chin up,Hang in there' Comments .... I am beginning to feel that I am the only person in the world that is still single LOL !!!

I actually can already feel the new comments being ''hmmm... 30,not married,no kids,no boyfriend... your not a lesbian are you''? LOL which I am not by the way, I love men!! :rolleyes:
I have been looking and put myself out there, it really is just a case of when your not looking, love usually finds you, which has always been the case for me, but I wonder is it because I am turning 30 this year and everyone around me pointing out what I dont have thats making me a little anxious about being single?
Has this happened to anybody else out there?

Yeah its tough all right, it is very hard to meet someone once you turn 30 though, people will tell you no it's not, but they themselves are not usually single and in their 30's. I'm 35 and single and it's pretty much game over from what I can see. Sorry the news isn't better!

Maybe the anthromorphism of your pets is making men wary of approaching you.

Don't worry, once you hit 35 they'll all be so embarassed for you they won't ask those questions any more. It gets wonderful, you can go out and enjoy yourself again :P Me I'm still single and enjoying myself. All the people who keep telling me there is one out there are also the ones who are married with children -- do you ever notice how much they tell you how great it is to be married with children, as they prop open their eyes with matchsticks :eek:. I think they are trying to convince themselves as much as me.

There was a thread in the cork forum for people who were over thirty and single+child free who were looking to socialise, I must go and see if I can dig it out. If your down this side of the country you could give us a shout :cool: - If I can ever get them all out somewhere :mad:

Or the smug & patronising insult of the month these days is, if you ever dare mention that you'd actually like to meet someone/find a nice partner is: "Well you mustn't be happy or content within yourself, if you need someone else in your life to make you happy or complete, there's actually something wrong with you if you need someone else in your life to find happiness".

FÚCK OFF CÚNT!!! Just because I have the audacity to aspire to share my life with someone who I really want to be around, it doesn't mean there is something psychologically wrong with me as you've suggested! And look at your own relationship, your husband is riding your brother, so don't think you can lecture me on what is healthy and what is not!
