Days left on Dublin Bus cards

I doubt there's anywhere, other than a bus itself, that you can check how many days are left on a Dublin Bus card? Been a bit silly lately with not throwing out used cards and there's nothing quite as awkward as not having your new one on you and having to scooch passed everyone queueing up behind you, murmuring "'scuse me..." after hearing that dreaded "beep beep beep" several times... as I may have found out yesterday... :pac:

Either on a bus at the driver's ticket machine, or at DB Head Office.

Easiest way I can think of is a simple felt-tip pen to mark off each day as it's used ?

I find it incredible how many people carry around several used tickets at any one time......

If you get on when it's quiet ask the driver nicely would he/ she mind checking and they can tell you how many days are left.

When using your ticket look at the display ittells you whats left on the card

Dublin Bus should set up a feature on the website where you can key in your card number and see how many days are left and it lets you view the history of the ticket something like this:
    3/6/2012 13.30 Route 27
    3/6/2012 14.30 Route 130 etc.

For anyone without Internet they should be able to text their card number to a certain number and get this information.

I would prefer they not waste money on such a system, as the functionality of it will soon (ahem) be integrated to leap. In the mean time, people can take care of it themselves as they have done for quite some time now.

You can go to the ticket machines at any train stations, like the smart cards you just put up the card to the machine and you can check all your history etc..

Are you sure that you can check a Dublin Bus ticket on an Irish Rail TVM?

Op is not talking about leap cards. I wouldn't expect the db cards to work on the tvms for Irish rail or Lucas.
