My current DIY tv set up is a UHF aerial for the terrestrial stations and a dish for Freesat. However after reviewing a few saorview boxes, I can't decide which would be a good choice, ie a dedicated saorview box or some combi box that could get freesat and saorview reception in one. I know there's no such thing as a dedicated saorview/freesat box btw but I'd be prepared to compromise to cut down on the plethora of play stations/Wii/DVD player/satellite receiver etc that live under the tv:rolleyes:

I'd need two, one for the kids playroom and one for herself as she only watches the terrestrial channels.

Triax TSC114 is a Saorview certified combi box and will do your sat & terresterial in a single unit. Down side is sat channels will only be now & next. Another alternative is tv with integrated digital tuner, if cutting clutter is important. Some TVs do both sat & dtt. Alternativly you could get a very inexpensive, but non SV certified combo like an Ariva 150. Lots of discussion at the minute on the threads on SV certified -V- non SV certified equipment. Its really a matter of personal choice & if you suspect theres much of a risk in purchasing non SV equipment. Personally the inexpensive Ariva150 would appeal to me. As even IF (big if) Saorview should change & it is rendered useless, there was never any huge expense + you'd still have a functioning FTA sat box.
    Hope this helps.
