Moving Kitchen

    Hi all,

Looking for some advice on a property I've seen. Currently the kitchen is in a box room at the front of the house, with a bathroom at the back of the house, leading out on to a large sun room. I would like to move the kitchen to the current location of the bathroom and knock down the dividing wall to create a large kitchen/diner. Then, the bathroom could be moved to the box room to the front of the house.

However, this is all just in my imagination at the moment - I will be getting a builder to look at it and confirm that it's feasible but I was hoping some boardsies might also be able to share their experience and knowledge on this one. Firstly is it possible? What issues could arise from a plan like this?

    Thanks

It is possible. Usually the key thing to consider is the location of the existing wc/wastes and/or sewer system in connection with where you propose to relocate the wc/wastes and how the two will connect. Generlly moving a bathroom at ground floor is easy enough once access to services is straight forward.

Great-thanks for that reply. One more question-would it make a huge difference if the house in question is terraced? In terms of connecting wc with sewer system I mean?
