Do NI have better facilities

Considering the number of NI athletes on the Irish team, do they have better facilities in NI, better coaches or better base?

I am thinking of Tri with Aileen, Gavin and Russell and Conor coming through. Cycling with Martyn.

Please don't get me wrong, this is not an NI vs ROI argument. Just wondering what structure they have up north for young athletes or academy candidates

Considering this is an athletics forum I'll use athletics as the frame of reference. 18 individual track and field qualifiers from Ireland. 16 from ROI, 0 from NI, 2 from overseas. There are also no NI athletes on GB team. None got close.

No there wasn't. Her father is from Strabane but she is Scottish.

The Odyssey and Magharafelt compared to...Nenagh?

I've no knowledge ouf NI's outdoor facilities - how do they compare with Santry, Irishtown, Tullamore, UCC?

Not that facilities are the key to athletics success, but they sure help.
