Whitening clinic cork, is it good?

Ok I'm looking for advice on laser teeth whitening. I have looked at a whitening clinic in cork, they are offering a special for August for 149e which is described as . . .

Full in clinic laser whitening treatment
Free 20 minute touch up treatment (to be used within six months of first seeing us)
5 - 14 shades whiter within the hour
    Includes same day consultation
Treatment conducted by fully qualified dental professional
Treatment tailored to your individual requirements
Most advanced technology straight from the U.S
Lasts 2 years depending on lifestyle and diet

Now I'm wondering if this is good value. I'm eager to get my teeth whitened but I would like some assurance that i'm getting a quality treatment.

Also just in general, is laser teeth whitening a good idea? I know people will suggest just brushing better or something, but honestly i have a top of the range tooth brush, and i use it twice daily, it did a lot of good initially but the effect seems to have dropped off a little recently.

Any replies would be appreciated :)

Read the forum charter no names, you have been around boards long enough to know that.

Any single treatment whitening treatment will not work or will be temporary. There are no lasers involved only blue lights. Its not the most advanced treatment available. Is it being done by a dentist or a nurse or beautician?

You get what you pay for with tooth whitening, and your not paying very much so don't expect much whitening. Whitening is a good treatment and proven safe, however it need to be done with at home trays at a minimum. Single in office treatments are pointless.

    Apologies for the editing.

What would you suggest is the best treatment if you consider price x effect?

Also what do you mean by at home trays?

At home bleaching is better than once off in office. Its where you bleach at night using trays. Its is more effective, causes less dehydration and lasts longer. You will need a dentist to do it for you. If you want the best system look for KoR Deep bleaching but its much more expensive.
