Saorview problem

    Howdy,

    Bought a 32inch LG LED tv this morning and im having a few issues with recieving the saorview channels.

    Autotuned the telly and all I can recieve rte1,2,tv3,tg4,bbc and all the channels that i used to receive through the antenna but cant seem to receive Rte2 HD,Rte news,Rte JR etc?

    Has anyone had the same problem??Or Know how to resolve it??tried moving the antenna but still the same issue

    Maybe, they didn't switch over the signal yet, where you live?

    Sounds like you tuned in the analogue channels, is there a DTV button on your remote? If there is press it and then tune in channels again.

    im open to being corrected here but i think the reason your not getting it is quite simple.the content thats coming in on the ariel your using is off an old cable/mmds system as your getting bbc and other content.you may not be aware of this but by the sounds of it may have been through a service provided to you via chorus or NTL way back and the equipment is still there. with soarview the analogue signal should only provide rte 1 and 2(vhf) and tv3 and tg4(uhf)
    have you an indoor ariel,a standard vhf/uhf ariel or just uhf?.If so you the tv will decode it for you.With lg tvs you can select your tv to tune in just digital stations making it easier to access(ie not having to hit the DTV part)

    What exactly did you move? An aerial on the roof or in the attic?

    What part of the country are you in?
