Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for honeymoons in October.

Have look at so many I have confused myself

We have a budget of around €1,200 each and want to go all inclusive if we can.

    Hi Overthere

we got married in October 2010 and did a Mediterranean cruise for our honeymoon. I would definitely recommend it, it was fantastic!

We went with Royal Carribbean for a week. Sometimes people think that cruises are for older people and involve lying around all day on a ship - not true. Unless you want to lie around then of course you can!

There are all ages, all sorts of things to do on the ship itself no matter what you like, they are like floating towns and they treat you like royalty!
We did an excursion every day so got to see Barcelona, Rome, Florence, Pisa, Nice, Naples.

I would go again in a heartbeat. I wish I could go on honeymoon again! :)

Our honeymoon is Sept/Oct 2013 and were going to California and New York. Not everyones idea of a honeymoon, but we love california for its natural beauty and we want to go to New York so we can stuff ourselves on deli sandwiches.

Hate to say it too, but with return flights now around €700- €800 to the US, your budget wont go far there.............Does it have to be a sun holiday, could do a gorgeous european tour?

I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it genie_us! We're doing an eastern med cruise with royal caribbean for our honeymoon this October.

We picked it for all the reasons you have said. I think this type of holiday suits a honeymoon very well. It is like a floating city where you get to wake up in a different port every single day without the hassle of having to pack your bags and find different hotels all the time!

When you think about it, the money you pay covers your accommodation, food, entertainment and travel (no car hire or transport cost between cities) Only thing not covered are your drinks. Also need to budget for flights to the Port from where the cruise is leaving. Our leaves/comes back to Rome, so we are also extending our honeymoon with four days in Rome afterwards. But this isn't necessary and all depends on your budget constraints.

That's great Muckit, congrats on the wedding I'm sure you will love the cruise!
Yes it's great that everything is included, but the excursions are extra. We mainly stuck to the bus only ones, the port for Rome is an hour and a half of a drive so you'll defo need it for that. A couple of times we did semi guided ones. Some of the ports leave you right in the middle of things so you can just head off and do your own thing!

Also you can buy drink packages at the start of the week - soft drink or alcoholic.

And make sure you tell them you're on your honemyoon for some cool free things thrown in! :)
