    hi all first time user
    going to crete in september for the first time and just wanted some advice about renting quad bikes
    1 is it true they try rip you off?
    2 is it a kip? or safe as anywhere else once you keep your wits about you?

    Stay well away from the quad bikes, very poor handling and no insurance. Also driving over there seems to be a free for all.

    I rented a quad in crete but it was only for a day, i dont remember the cost but it certainly wasnt a rip off, i think it was €20 with some extra insurance, now the extra insurance may be the rip off bit:)
    the standard of driving over there is terrible though! its a bit of a shock seeing how they drive, i had an 80cc bike and found it a bit underpowered,
    it was fine for a few hours but i wouldnt be going far on one,
