After my Leon drowned in the flood last year, I bought a secondhand Cordoba.

All went well til it needed a new gear box and the thing comes back with the radio in 'safe' mode and the code has been cut out of the manual :eek:

I've tried taking the radio out to get the serial number and then tried putting in some random number that was stuck on a sticker on the back of the radio.

Top it all off a random garage wants €45 plus vat to unlock the radio. I'm a severely broke student and if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it?!

The serial number on the radio is SEZ2Z9C2177355

You're goosed so I'm afraid. Sometimes the code is on top of the unit itself but you are going to have to go to the dealer I would think.flick through all the pages of your manuals and make sure it wasn't stuck in somewhere.

We took the Alana radio out of my gfs Ibiza cos it was crap. I'd spend a few bob more and get a better head unit, unless you wanna keep the original look
