:confused:On digital switchover publicity posters in shops in Newry I see references to newer Freeview TVs for Saorview reception anyone know anything about these?

Just means what it says, a newer DVB-T only (no Freeview HD) set would be more likely to have the MPEG4 decoder needed for Saorview.

But surely they will not stand by their sale if it doesn't work with Saorview.

If it ain't on the Saorview site, then it hasn't been tested and approved. Tread carefully.

Maybe it's just to let people know that their existing set might work with Saorview.
