They're based in the Channel Islands. You could be hit with customs and VAT on that.

I've used them plenty of times myself and they're fine to deal with, but be wary going over the €22 threshold.

using them for years and ive never with hit with extra

great price for this but no mention of transfers speeds

    It's there at the bottom:
    Read Speed: 15MB/s
    Write Speed: 10MB/s

That's the most of two hours to fill it up. I'd be looking at USB 3 for drives of this size unless you just need to for storage and rarely transfer large files. A cheaper 64GB key was posted on another thread from the hut's ebay shop. Speed is a bit slower again.

Also based in the Channel Islands, but closer to the limit so it might be ignored.

I think many companies are trying to offload their old USB 2 products in preparation for USB 3, which is coming down in price all the time. There's good deals to be had but just be aware of what you are buying.

Edit: Oh yeah, warranty is just 1 year. In comparison, a Corsair USB 3 drive I got recently has five years.

They assured me in the past that they would refund any vat paid, but as I never get into "vat territory" on anything I get from them, I've never had to take them up on their offer.

The flyer for Harvey Norman's Marquee Sale this weekend lists a SanDisk Cruzer Blade 32GB USB Flash Drive for €17.

It's smaller, but might be an option for anyone who doesn't want to risk any VAT/customs rigmarole.

local post/police forms for not receiving a tenner item???

never heard from them nor received any form

Did you not email them before claiming? If you did they probably would have sent another.

I don't blame them for sending them out.

For anyone looking for a fast USB flash drive this 32GB on Amazon looks good.
