To be honest, I'd have a good bit of respect for someone who's prepared to go and do it and still come away, recognising the elements of people that make them want to do it, and yet still say it's not something they want to do again. Fair fecks, in my book.

Fair play to him, I shoot a few rabbits and birds but I think I'd struggle to pull the trigger on a deer, :o

If you can kill a rabbit then you can kill a deer. Its just a society thing always waffling trying to convince people that killing is bad. You'll always remember your first deer, but seriously after the first one you'll shoot them and not even think twice. Im sure you hesitated before your first rabbit, but do you even think about it now as you pull the trigger?

Although, if you still feel that you cant do it, then one little tip Ive used with great success over the years is to use iron sites. I find (especially with women) when they have iron sights they can make out the shape of the animals etc and can give a good shot placement and thats about the height of it. But with a scope they can see the rabbits expressions, they can see it sitting in the sun munching away on grass etc and then they wont go through with it

I can see your point but I do have a different perception of deer, I see hundreds of rabbits around digging holes so my horses can brake there legs! Apart from pinging the odd fence they do no harm around here.
Now don't get me wrong, I love venison, but I can see where the lad is coming from, I think I'd have to dig deep.

It may sound a little hypacritical But they are my issues tht only I can get over, cudos to the lad

Yeah , probabily women who eat meat regularly and badger their husbands to buy expensive leather handbags/shoes. There is a huge amount of people who don't want to know how the meat in the supermarket wrapping got to be in that wrapping , it just magically appeared there.
