I was reading up on geal force and a few other events the other day but can't seem to find the sub forum now. Has it been deleted?

Finding the new forum was to be a bit of an orienteering challenge for adventure racers ;)

The non-running specialists have got their own forum now. They can pedal their expensive pretty bikes with their streamers and frolic in the paddling pool in peace now without feeling inferior to real athletes ;)

While still running faster off the bike than most of the "real athletes" in straight running races :)

That's because deep down you guys are runners at heart. Amazing to see how many of the pioneers for new forum still lurking here after you guys get it:p

Don't deny it. I'm a runner who enjoys swimming and cycling.

Also need to update bookmarks :) Despite being a runner at heart little interest in the topics, and type of discussion here :)

I can't think of many that have decent road running times. Look at the hall of fame or fastest of 2012. Most of the real athletes here are apprentices anyway :D

I said most, you said fastest. Bit of a difference.

Maybe a forum name change to "Athletics/Running/Waddling" now?

True, point taken. A lot of posters here don't proclaim to be athletes though

Nah you're grand, youv've moved your legendary hefty tummy over to the non-specialist running forum so we're all good thanks :)

I had to laugh at the poster new to tri who was asking if he really needed to spend 100 euro on a pair of runners. Kid, you're in the Shopping forum now :pac:

Ha ha, the irony, half of the non-specialist running forum could be given the nickname SICKNOTE. Use to be afraid to read their logs in case I caught something :)

I'll miss the DCM threads the most : "i'm a fatty and I haven't run but I want to run a 2:59 marathon as I heard that anything over 3:00 is just sh!t, how can I do this in two weeks? Oh and I've not got an entry either, can i buy one from someone?"

That's not fair a good few of them are quite fit as they play GAA and 5 a side soccer.

Totally off topic but I was watching Michael Mcintyre's comedy roadshow from Dublin on the RTE player last night and I was shocked to see the number of obese people in the audience when they showed shots of them. I've seen some of his other shows from UK cities and I can't remember noticing so many fatty fatty bum bums.
