Uncharted 3 crashing on Chapter 3.

    This is going to be a long post, so apologies for that for starters, but I'm getting extremely annoyed at this; I got a lend of Uncharted 3 off of a friend of mine, but as the title says, it keeps freezing at Chapter 3 of the game. If you've played Chapter 3: Second Story Work, you may remember the part on the roofs, being chased and jumping from roof to roof.     Now, in the link at approximately 5:03 minutes in when he jumps onto the church-like building, falls and slides off into the other building at 5:08, in my disc there's no building to slide into - when he jumps off he simply falls into nothingness, possible a sort of glitch, gets up and walks off. Then the screen will go black with the loading symbol (a silver ring) spinning endlessly, and that's that. It'll also happen when my character get's caught or killed.

    I've restarted the mission multiple times, cleaned the disc, which hasn't a single scratch on it, resetted the console; nothing's working. I remember this mission, and the entire game worked absolutely fine on my friend's PS3, having played it with him. The reason I'm putting it up here is to see if this has happened to anyone else playing Uncharted 3, on this chapter or on other chapters, and to see if anyone might have any ideas what's wrong?

    Hasn't happened to me.

    If I were you, I would delete the game data on your PS3 [NOT your save data, the game install data].

    Put the game back in then and when you start it up, you should be prompted to re-download and install the game's patches.

    See if that works.

    Problem's fixed - what I did was start a new game on the New Save Data part of it to see if it would work properly on that. It did, luckily, and didn't take long to get back to Chapter 3, having skipped the movies. The glitch and endless loading is gone as well. I'll delete the previous data. I still don't know why it did that though, suppose it doesn't really matter.
