I remember it well...it was built on the site of an old dump so the stench of rotting garbage was overwhelming.

The gaurd we had the time i was there was a cranky of bollix,he obvioulsy hated children and would rather have been somewhere else.

I used to live very near the school and spent a lot of time with friends chasing each other around it on bikes or bringing the dog to the dog pond, but I never had any lessons there.
the stench was due to the Dump being excavated for the building of the Alfie Byrne rd (East Link access) sometime in the early 80's.

We were meant to go back in Transition Year but it was upgraded to driving real cars veeerrrry slooowly around Goffs carpark instead. Possibly because it had closed down - anyone know when that was? I'm talking a decade ago at this stage.

I remember being put in three groups, and each group had turns of being either motorists, cyclists or pedestrians. The little cars were great fun, but being a pedestrian was a bit ****e

I'm pretty sure that was the place we went to with the Summer Project. It would've been in the late 70's?I thought it was amazing!(At the time of course!)

I went there once on a school trip in the early 90s, probably around 1991. When did it close? I know there's some sports pitches on the site now but it seems it was still intact until about 2-3 years ago.

I remember being brought to it as a kid around 96/97 but it was definately gone by around 2000 I think. The site may well have remained but it wasn't open to the public.

Yeah I went with the summer project in the early 80s. It was the Esker summer project and I had a ball of a time.
