LIT €200 million expansion plan

LIT are reportedly starting phase 1 of a €200 million expansion plan due to be completed in 2030. No specifics yet but they have mentioned a new library, possible base for Munster Rugby and academic space in their existing campus' in Moylish and Clare Street, and also a new site. The full plan is to be launched in September but I was wondering does anyone know the inside track here?

Hope it all comes about and that they get the funding they are looking for as I read elsewhere that the finding is not finalised and still in the early stages.

Would be fantastic, imho, to see LIT get this kind of upgrade.




Had to laugh at the Limerick Leader article as they try to claim the story as a Limerick Leader exclusive yet the Limerick Post and a number of other papers are all carrying the same story this week.

Thats the one thing it needs more than anything. Public transport is too unreliable!
