What is the typical range for wifi reception form these devices? Say a Huawei E586 for example?

i use this device when i go on holidays, great if you are close to it but not great if you are using it as a home 'router', doesn't travel tru walls well

i would recommend the b260a if you want a home 'router', not the best 3g 'router' but a good plug and play device.

the best 3g routers you need to attach a dongle to it and it gets messy.

Not to far really... They're the kind of devices that would be ideal for an apartment or something but you might get away with it in an average semi detached house... It could work perfectly fine for your needs but if it's over a large area or a through a few walls it wouldn't be ideal

If you have a dongle you can usb it into a router such as

if you want to put a sim into a router the b260a is your fella
