    Lads,
Anyone know from their experience a good place to get alloy wheels refurbished and the estimated price. My front two wheels are in bad shape and the rear aint great either. Does anyone have a ballpark figure on how much it would cost to get this work done. Thanks in advance

That depends on what "bad shape is". Are they bent, cracked, or just got kerb rash?

For high damage, you should go to alloy wheel repair in Solus Industrial Estate in Bray. Cost per wheel will be €100-€150 approx. For minor damage and a refurb job, you could get it done for €30 per wheel at GVD Autos at the Mulcahy Keane Ind Est in Walkinstown. pm me if you need info.

Cheers, the Front wheels would be fairly bad alright, the back not as bad. Is that the going rate for repairs, 100-150 seems a bit high? would i not be better off buying a new set at that price?

Wheel Wizards in Finglas to a top job. I got mine refurbed there recently, very happy with the results.
    Prices depend on alloy size.

When the wheels on my bmw were in bad shape and the tire needed changing, I just ordered new wheels and tires from www.wheelbase.ie

I paid around €600 but there are cheaper depending on wheel size and tire quality etc etc. There is a bit of work in repairing wheels, so yeah, prices can be high. The equipment is pretty expensive too.

Thanks, ill see can i get a competitive quote first for repair, ill keep this in mind tho if the cost is close enough to a new set

If they are a common alloy a trip to a breakers yard might pick up a set in better condition than your own. Most cheaper alloys tend to buckle and crack a lot easier then factory fitted wheels. Keep that in mind if your thinking about a new set!
