    Heading over to the East Midlands for work shortly and interested in anything to do for a weekend in the area. All suggestions welcomed.

    for the weekend, head to nottingham, biggest town in the area with the most bars, rock city is an institution there http://www.rock-city.co.uk/

    Whereabouts in the East Midlands are you going, lived in Derby, plenty of sights to see, check out http://www.visitderby.co.uk/
    Personal favourites would be Carsington Reservoir, Matlock Bath, Elvaston Castle, all you need is good weather!

    Thanks, just flying out of EMA. Working nearby in Cambridgeshire but the town I'm visiting is a kip so will be moving on for weekend. Went to Cambridge last time, but it's pricey.
