HEy folks first time posting so apologies if im in the wrong area or whatever but im looking to change the fuel filter on a 1996 vauxhall corsa merit, i know where
the fuel filter is but have a number of questions in relation to it.

when replacing it, will i lose a load of fuel? Will i need any special tools? Do i have to do it on an empty tank?
What shud i watch out for? When its done will i have to prime the fuel again in some way? Generally any help or advice would be appreciated, i am new to doing things myself on the car.

Also i am going to replace the distributor cap and rotor arm, i take it this is an easy enough job? i know ya have to put the leads from the spark plugs into the same place ( they are numbered so shouldnt be a prob) Again any advice on this wud be great!

Re the distributor, check all the wiring going to it, sometimes it becomes corroded.

all leads and wiring going to it are in good nick nothing i see would lead me to think there is anything wrong with the wiring. But the contacts inside the cap the contacts arent that great, i used contact cleaner and a light gauge sandpaper along with an old toothbrush to clean it, but i dont notice any difference driving the car. i have the new cap ordered so ill be putting that in 2m, my biggest issue i suppose is the fuel filter, as im finding it difficult to find anythin on it except american videos and cars. The filter is on the rear drivers side in front of the back wheel
    Thanks for replying!
