Galway city to michelstown cork bus?

any one know if there is a direct bus service for this route? cant seem to find anything online heading down there to the Independence music festival tomorrow but not quite sure how to get there!

There are no direct routes, and I haven't heard of any companies doing special buses, so it's a bit of a trek.

CityLink's service is now non-stop, so a fast way to get to Cork city. Bus Eireann's route X51 is also non-stop, or their regular 51 is a bit slower. From there, you could get the BE Dublin service.

BE's 51 service stops at Charleville, Buttevant, and Mallow - so it would do if you could find a way of getting from there across to Mitchelstown. I have no idea what a local taxi from Mallow to Mitchelstown would cost, ie whether it would be less than the bus fares for Mallow-Cork-Mitchelstown .

I'm travelling down from Clare. Going to Cork city first then a local bus to Mitchelstown.. that's the fastest way to do it. Definitely get yourself onto City Link in Galway.
