    Hi there

I have a contract to sign (an NDA) I m tempted to just sign it as it appears quite harmless but I was wondering if there is any solicitors that wont charge much that could read it an let me know if the contract says what I think it says
Any advice of who to ask? searching for solicitors online is rather daunting (and even scary ) due to the total lack of prices and then also I m not sure what the specialization should be

    Cheers

In addition to getting advice from a solicitor - if you have any questions on the terms of the contract you could email them with your questions - and get an emailed response so you have the clarification in writing.

Be careful with NDA's, the company I work for requires individuals to sign the NDA as well as the company. So the individual is liable. It has caused issues for our employees and those required to sign the NDA.

As seb65 says, e-mail the originator and ask all of the questions you need to ask. Our legal guys understand the apprehension these can cause and and very supportive so should the people you are dealing with.

From my own experience you won't need a Solicitor with a specialisation to give you the skinny on the content it's usually common sense stuff.

NDAs are common for years and most solicitors would be familiar with them.

Market forces dictate whether changes can be negotiated.
