Seems they have started a trial of them in UK but only secondary colours because they can't find a natural colouring for EU market for some colours

I was in Glasgow a couple of weeks ago and they were £8 sterling a box in the specialist American food shops. Glad I didn't buy a packet now!

Had a bowl last night for the first time in 23 years.....yum!! Now if only they'd start doing Apple Jacks and Lucky Charms....

I remember eating Lucky Charms for breakfast in England as a child. Wonder what happened to them.

I hate Fruit Loops usually, but these ones made for the EU actually taste better, kinda liked them. Unless I'm imaging it, but I actually loathed them when I tried them a few years back (the US ones).

Got these a few days ago. They definitely taste different than the American ones which were like a strong polo fruit flavour, but at least you won't go blind from the toxic colourings. Still a bit manky though, but I'll try to finish the box.

Really makes you wonder about the regulation on food additives in the US wouldn't it!

They mustn't have looked too hard into getting the colours. Surely they could use beetrot for red, beta-carotene for yellow and get whatever Nestle is using for the blue smarties. Most likely they only wanted three lines of colours to spare resources in the trial run!

Im sure there is more too it than that. Keeping the colour from running when milk is added is probably alot harder than you think.

I'll have to educate myself better in food science so!

Where have people found these? I used love them when I was a kid when we went to the states!

I looked in Tesco in Jervis and Dunnes on Henry St but couldnt find them :(

They don't taste as nice as they look on American TV :(

They're no longer on offer, just FYI, up to €3.69 in my local Tesco.

Forget it. Wish I never posted this deal. They're disgusting. Nothing like the American original and should be removed from sale under the trade descriptions act. Don't waste your money.

Yup pretty horrible in comparison to the American ones. The whole thing about them is they're meant to be fruity and awesome but these are like... 'lightly scented' is the only way I can think of describing them! And whatever that taste is it's not very nice!
